We do things differently. Our dogs are award winning members of the family. No kennels here, they live in our home with constant love and affection and four acres to explore as much as they want!

We are committed to breeding the happiest and healthiest Labrador Retriever possible. Utilizing the recommendations by the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) we test our dogs for hip and elbow dysplasia through OFA, have annual cardiac evaluations, and test for over 200 genetic concerns.

At three days old, when neuroplasticity is at its peak, our puppies receive early neurological stimulation through biosensory training. This has been proven to produce dogs with increased stress-tolerance, stronger immune systems, stronger hearts, and better temperaments. At 3-4 weeks old we begin our exposure checklist to ensure that they have the best start in life.

Please see our FAQ section for more information on our biosensory routine and exposure checklist.

We are very selective in who may purchase one of our puppies. We require a purchase contract outlining our responsibilities as a breeder (including our health guarantee) and yours as an owner.
IN THE EVENT THAT YOU CAN NO LONGER CARE FOR YOUR PUPPY, FOR ANY REASON, YOU MUST RETURN THE PUPPY TO US.
This is part of our dedication to ethical breeding. We never want one of our lab puppies or dogs to end up in a shelter at any point in its life. We pour our love into breeding and are committed to retraining and rehoming any of our dogs should the need arise.

Meet Our Vet
"As Salt Run Retriever's veterinarian, I am pleased to recommend them for the exceptional care of their dogs. Holly is a responsible and loving dog breeder who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her dogs receive the best possible care.
Holly is proactive about her dogs' health and well-being, scheduling them for regular check-ups, vaccinations, and preventative care. She also takes the time to learn about her dogs' specific needs and takes measure to ensure their individual needs are met.
She provides them with a balanced and nutritious diet, plenty of exercise, and a safe and comfortable living environment. In addition to providing for her dogs' physical needs, Holly is attentive to their emotional and behavioral needs as well. She is patient and compassionate when working with her dogs and is committed to providing them with the love and attention they require to thrive."
